Introduction

In the novel The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis, Peter Pevensie receives a shield from Father Christmas. In this webquest you are going to learn what a shield is exactly. After researching shields, you are going to create one representing your self based on the information you have found.

Task

Imagine you have just entered Narnia. It is your job to defeat the white witch but before you can do so you must have a shield. You will use the web links to gather information that you think will be helpful for you in deciding what important characteristic you think should be included on a shield representing you. Make sure that you get information that is specific to each characteristic you put on your shield. Once you have decided what you want on your shield, you will construct on and will write a paper explaining what you have put on your shield, what it means, and why you chose it.

Process

           Part 2 Compiling

1.    You will hand in your graphic organizers a few days before your final paper is due. I will review the information to check for accurate and well developed ideas.

2.    After gathering your information, use the chart to organize your information in a chronological manner.

3.    For your final product you will write a paper. You need to have a section for each symbol and color you have chosen and come up with an original and creative title.

4.    Your paper needs to consist of complete sentences, correct spelling, and in paragraph form with an introduction and conclusion. Your paper will be typed. You can do this at school or home.

5.    You will submit your final product to me via email.

Evaluation

You will be graded independently for your participation and information you obtain. Your final product will be given points and your group will receive points based on your grade.
