ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Bushnell, Illinois where I went to school from preschool until I graduated from High School.  I have a great family which includes my mom, dad, older brother Corey, sister-n-law Jennie, 3 year old niece Reece, and 1 year old nephew Carson.   I graduated from Bushnell-Prairie City High School Salutatorian of my class and was a three sport athlete.  After this I went to Black Hawk College in Moline where I played basketball for two years and unfortunately tore my ACL in my left knee my freshman year which put a damper on my playing.  I received my associates degree in 2002 and then transferred to Illinois State University.  I graduated from there in 2004 with a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences/Secondary Education.  After this I took a position teaching Chemistry, Physics, and Biology at Kewanee High School where I was also the Head Sophomore Girls' Basketball Coach for two years.  I left there to be closer to my family.  I took the science position here at Abingdon High School where I am in my fourth year of teaching.  I have a lot of things I love to do or just enjoy so I am just going to rattle a few off which in general is how I do things.  The St. Louis Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys, my family, watching Drag Racing, playing sports, being outside, my pets, my friends, teaching, talking, shopping, playing Guitar Hero, and enjoying my free time.  That is pretty much all there is to me, I am somewhat of a spaz but overall I just think I am very enthusiastic.  I love teaching and coaching softball which hopefully rubs off and is portrayed to my students and players.  I just like to be happy and try to make others be the same.
