SCIENCE CLASS EXPECTATIONS

  1. COME PREPARED

§         Bring textbook, binder, notebook, pen and pencil, etc.

§         Keep all papers attached in a binder or folder.

§         Use WHITE looseleaf paper for written assignments NO FRINGES!!!

§         Put your first and last name, class, and date in upper right hand corner.
  1. RESPECT OTHERS

§         Do NOT talk when others are speaking.

§         No judgmental statements.

      You WILL RESPECT every individual in my classroom regardless of sex, race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc.  Please embrace the differences in others.  Failure to respect others will result in disciplinary action.  It’s okay to all have different beliefs.  That’s what makes life exciting and not dull.  Imagine if we all thought the same, acted the same, dressed the same, etc.  Life would be pretty BORING.  Just always treat others how you would like to be treated.
  1. RESPECT OTHERS’ PROPERTY

§         Keep the room clean, use trash cans whenever needed.

                  (Placing unwanted papers in recycle box is appreciated.)

§         Do NOT write or mark on desks or lab benches. If you choose to vandalize school property you will come in after school and clean ALL desks and lab benches.  If damage is not cleanable you will be responsible for replacement and/or further cleaning costs.

§         Do NOT break or damage any equipment.
  1. BE RESPONSIBLE

§         Turn all homework into the tray as you enter the room prior to the bell.

§         LATE WORK- any late work will be deducted 50% of the points and WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED UP TO A WEEK AFTER THE DUE DATE.

§         MAKE-UP WORK- you are responsible for obtaining getting any missed work from me, if you don't come and get your work it will result in a zero.

§         If you have an UNEXCUSED absence you will receive zero credit for any missed work, this includes suspensions. 
  1. ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST

§         CHEATING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!!!

-  1st offense will result in a ZERO

- 2nd offense will result in a 68% F for that quarter.
